Franklin- Saturday, November 29–Rising Star Winners Showcase with winner Jason Juhn, Wynn Varble and Bart Allmand
After 8 great weeks it all comes to an awesome finale! Join us tonight as we celebrate our winner, Jason Juhn on one truly amazing night with an awesome lineup to say the least!
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Jason started with music at a young age, drumming by the age of 8 and performing in school bands, quickly escalating to more contemporary shows through his natural affinity for music and performance. By the age of 16, he had added guitar to his repertoire, and was playing and singing for a local bluegrass band, adding a distinctively modern, New-Country sound to the band's traditional style of play – a sound that earned him many accolades from the fans that would grace the performances.
Consumed by a love of music, he quickly turned his attentions to songwriting, which became a natural overflow of the artistic talent welling within him. His songwriting endeavors earned him immediate success, and he wrote and sold his own material to local radio stations who aired his work for commercial jingles.
Wynn Varble is a major hit writer! His first number one “Have You Forgotten,” by Darryl Worley, and was CMA’s Song of the Year. Just recently his #1 song “Waiting on a Woman” was just recognized at the CMA’s as the best video of the year!
His songs have been cut by a range of great artists, including Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Womack, Montgomery Gentry, Gary Allan and Trace Adkins to name a few! Beyond all of his accomplishments he is truly one of our favorites here at Puckett's...
In 2003, Bart Allmand signed his first publishing deal with Windswept Publishing/3 Ring Circus Music (Jeffrey Steeles publishing company). Before he signed publishing deal, Bart got his first cut with Brooks and Dunn entitled "You Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out Of The Girl." This was his first demo, hold, cut and single. In the winter of 2003, the song was peaked in the charts at 3 and stayed in the top five for 9 weeks.
In September 2006, Bart had his first 1 song with Steve Holy's "Brand New Girlfriend" (which he co-wrote with Shane Minor & Jeffrey Steele). Presently, Bart writes with several current and former songwriters of the year including Bob DiPiero, Jeffrey Steele, Craig Wiseman, Al Anderson, Thom Schuyler and Tim Nichols.

Hey ya'll, thanks for checking out the Jason Kuhn forum. I just wanted to let you know that Loyd Maines, yes Natalie Maines' (Dixie Chicks) dad has my material and is looking at it as I speak. He is an amazing Grammy winning producer. Basically I am searching for a great producer to work on my first project as a solo artist. Say a big prayer for the right producer.
Right now me, Laura and the kids are planning, praying and thinking about our next move after school ends. This has been an amazing time in Levelland. It could not have worked out better. I will absolutely miss this place. In fact it will be hard to leave with all the friends and connections we've made. Texas is a great place.
I continue to write songs for this album or a future one. I am also looking for other songs, so if you by chance know any hot writers let me know. Thanks for all your support.
Love ya Jason
